Boundary review - a note from the deputy chairman political

Every few years, on the instruction of the Government, the Boundary Commission undertakes a review of constituency boundaries to ensure that constituency sizes are evenly sized, so as not to give an unfair advantage to one political party, or another.

Back in September, Party members turned out in their numbers to hear guest speaker and Colne Valley MP, Jason McCartney, give a fantastic speech at our Autumn dinner event held at the Forresters’ Arms in Denby Dale. A great evening was had by all.

Great turnout for Denby Dale bonfire

Hosted by Denby Dale Councillor, Michael Watson, and his wife Gill, local Conservatives braved the cold weather in November to witness a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display, with our hosts putting on a delicious spicy chilli and jacket potatoes to keep everyone nice and warm.

On a warm sunny day in September following an invitation from former Parliamentary Candidate for Dewsbury, Kevin Hollinrake, now MP for Thirsk and Malton, local Conservatives were treated to a memorable day out in London.
