Commenting on his Campaign Mark Eastwood MP says:
"Speeding is an issue that affects all of us wherever we live. Whether you live in a built-up town or in a more rural village, speeding traffic puts everyone at risk. We want our roads to be safe for drivers cyclists and pedestrians. Too often we hear about accidents or near misses where speed was a factor.
Parents tell me they worry about their children walking to and from school, which leads to more children being driven to schools, increasing local congestion and adding to the problem.
Local Conservatives are fighting to tackle this issue and hold the West Yorkshire Mayor to account, ensuring that adequate police resources are prioritised to support this campaign. We also believe that speed cameras have a role to play and are calling on the Government to revise the rules for installing cameras to allow for community support for a camera to be a factor in the decision.
But we need people like you to sign up and let your voice be heard so they know exactly what people think about the issue.
