'Zumba' boosts Mayor's Charity Coffers

Despite torrential downpours, over 60 people turned out to support Patricia Sutcliffe and her latest fundraiser for Matrix and The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme - Pat's chosen Charities for her year as Mayor of Mirfield. While some enjoyed learning about Zumba - a new fitness craze - and taking part in an actual dance session, others enjoyed the many stalls and refreshments on offer, which included a cake stall and apples provided by the grandparents of one of our volunteers, David Bolt, picked from their own orchard and then sold at the event. There was also Pat's ever popular Tombola.

With money raised from the stalls as well as the actual Zumba event Pat's charities have now recieved a further £700.00 boost.

Pat would like to thank all who took part in the event, the stall holders and Barclays Bank for their generous contribution to the fund.
