Kirkburton Councillors Richard Smith & John Taylor got out a bucket, sponge & some ladders and set about cleaning road signs on the busy A629 Penistone Rd in Kirkburton.  Cllr Richard Smith said, "Some of these signs were so dirty they were difficult to see in poor light so we've started to clean them up."

Cllr Taylor commented "This is just the start and there is much more for us to do and we will be continuing to clean up road signs in the ward."  If you see any that need a good clean or are damaged in any way, please let us know.
