Mark Eastwood selected as Parliamentary Candidate

On Friday 16th November 2018 Mark Eastwood, a well known local campaigner in Dewsbury and Chairman of the Association was selected by a member's vote to be the parliamentary candidate for the Constituency and the future MP for Dewsbury.

Kirburton Annual Dinner a Great Success

Firday 28th September 2018 saw the Annual Dinner of  Kirkbuton Conservatives at Woodsome Hall where a packed room enjoyed an excellent 3 course meal followed by an entertaining speech by Jason McCartney who spoke passionately about the current political situationa nd the challenges for our party

At Council on Wednesday 11th July 2018 Clr Richard Smith challenged the leader of the council to explain what Kirklees were doing to bring an end to industrial action involving refuse staff.

Kirkburton Select 2019 Candidate

Kirkburton held a selection meeting on 9th July 2018 to select a candidate to stand in the 2019 Local Elections. Existing Councillor John Taylor, who is the Deputy Leader of the Kirklees Conservative Group and was first elected in 2015 was unanimously selected by members.
