Timothy's Experience
Timothy was MP for Leeds North East from 1987-1997, Vice Chamberlain to the Queen in 1995, and Home Office Minister from 1995-1997. Born in 1945, Timothy is married with four sons, and lives in North Yorkshire. He is a qualified solicitor and pilot, and enjoys swimming, tennis and golf. He is a member of Air League.
About Timothy
Timothy became an MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber in 1999, and was elected as Leader of the Conservative MEPs in December 2004. He was Vice-President of the ED Group in the European Parliament until February 2005 and the Conservative representative on the European 'Future of Europe' Convention. Timothy was Chief Whip of the Conservatives in the European Parliament from 1999-2001.He is also Conservative Spokesman on Constitutional Affairs and Conservative Spokesman on Transport, Tourism and Local Government.
