Lunch in Kirkburton organised by Norman and Hilary Berry. This was well supported with 40 or so members and supporters and Simon gave a short speech about his route into politics and the importance of winning the seat.

Two delivery teams and a canvassing team allowed us to cover the entire village of Skelmanthorpe and get across our message about a Conservative alternative to the Local Development Framework and identified 115 pledges.

Louise and Simon went with Jim Dodds and his family to a fundraising evening at the Pakistani and Kashmiri Welfare Association. This was to raise money for those displaced by the fighting in the Swat Valley.
